Post Master's ESOL Endorsement Certificate

The post master’s certificate is offered on the University of Portland campus for licensed teachers who already hold a master’s degree.

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement advances teachers' abilities to provide assessment, instruction, and evaluation of English language learners.

*Graduates may earn the Dual Language Specialization by pursing the ESOL endorsement, an DL methodology course and participating in field and clinical experiences in a dual language classroom.

ED 504 School, Parent, and Community Relations (3 hrs)
ED 507 Dual Language Education (3 hrs)
ED 509 Methods and Materials for Teaching ESOL (3 hrs)
ED 510 Linguistics (3 hrs)
ED 581 Language, Literacy and Culture (3 hrs)
ED 569 ESOL Practicum P-12 (3 hrs)
